A Love Affair with the Tufted Sofa

We have the pleasure of working on a tres fabulous project with a very stylish and fashionable client, aka Ms. Janeka.
It took her many months to close on this, her first home, and of course, it's as cookie-cutter as it gets. She wants a glam abode, with loads of vintage charm with some modern elements.
She also wanted a fresh palate so we decided to sell most of her existing pieces, although we will be re-purposing the coffee and dining table and some other accent pieces.
An interesting tidbit about this client: we'd gone back and forth about this project for weeks and her closing date kept changing. In the midst of all that, I closed my design list for the year and was no longer taking on new clients. She finally closed and was indeed devastated that I would not take on her project. She in fact, pleaded her case with me on Instagram. Ahhh, the power of social media. I felt horrible and sucker that I am, I agreed, with the caveat that the project would not be a quickie. Remember, this is the year I'm pacing myself.
Anyway, back to the matter at hand. What better way to say feminine glam than with a tufted sofa? So happy she agreed with that suggestion and her very own thing of beauty will be delivered on Saturday. Tickled pink at how this one will come together in a few weeks. Here are some tufted gems that had Debbie and I swooning as we sourced.

Those are some statement-making sofas! Although I'm a modern girl at heart, I'm in love with the tufted pink sofa. How do you feel about this style of sofa? Is it too tufted for your sensibilities? Too feminine? Holla, holla, holla. Can't wait to dish.

    1. Hey lady! TGIF! So sorry we forgot to post the source guide. Will update the post today with that info. That sofa is the Chichester sofa from LaylaGrace.com
The one I chose for the client is actually from Macy's and it's only $1000. It's not on their website (aaargh) but I'll email you a photo and it's only $1000 and it's fab! Can customize colors as well. West Elm also has one on clearance for $649. It's called the Chester Tufted sofa.
