Your local small business owner doesn't sit in a boardroom analyzing stock reports, pondering how many dots (i.e. people) he or she can lay off on any given day to earn more profits. Chances are, when you walk into a small business, the owner knows you by name. When you click that PayPal link on a small business owner's website or Etsy shop, you're contributing in a major way to that person's livelihood.
