Chefs for Obama

I've never met President Obama. And yet somehow I feel like I've been a part of his and Michelle's lives as they've made this historic journey to the White House. I think it's just that for the first time, we've had a President that's oh so relatable. Young, energetic, eloquent and passionate. A first lady whose love for her family is front and center, who champions healthy living, who has publicly done the "the Dougie", and whose affordable sense of fashion is just as killer as it gets.
So when I became a citizen in 2008, it didn't matter to me that I waited seven hours on line to vote for him. It's a special honor that I will be slightly involved with the campaign this time around.
On Tuesday, my dearest friend and fashion designer Asanyah Davidson of Circa 24 and I, will install the Runway to Win pop-up store at the Chefs for Obama event.

As a foodie, fashion lover and supporter of the President, this couldn't be more fitting. Let's just say I'm excited, elated, a bit over-the-moon.

Miami Artist Phil Fung, winner of the Runway to Win Challenge will be on hand.

Hope to see many of you there. And if you can't make it, support the campaign by purchasing some amazing Runway to Win gear or with a donation.
